There is yet another curious case regarding Apple iPhone apps – apps go missing on the iTunes store every now and then. No, this is not about apps that are removed or banished from the store, but existing apps that are not listed or visible when searched for using the App store search feature.

If you are a developer/company having about 50+ apps on the App store, chances are only 30+ of your apps maybe listed when a user searches for your apps or developer/company name on the iTunes store. But same is not the case when you log in through your developer account. When you log in as a developer, you will find all your apps listed on the iTunes store. Apple has just now released a firmware update for iPhone and iPod Touch devices, bringing the current version to 3.1.3. The update is nothing big except for a few minor improvements, security patches and usual bug fixes for the devices. The update also fixes several bugs related to stability issues and improvement of over-all performance. Currently, you can do the new firmware update straight to your device via the iTunes.

Some of the new patches iPhone OS 3.1.3 firmware brings are -  better accuracy for the battery level on the iPhone 3GS, a minor bug fix that sometimes caused the application to crash (while using the Japanese keyboard) and a problem related to third-party applications launch. CeBIT (Centrum der Büro- und Informations Technik), the largest IT technology show is to take place this Spring, from March 2nd to March 6th, 2010 in Hannover, Germany. The big news is, Dot Com Infoway will be a proud participant at this year’s show, CeBIT 2010.

Skyping can sometimes let cyber-criminals hack your data. Sounds strange, but its true. A recent virus attack targeting Skype users can stop your Skype from functioning. This is not the only incident targeting Skype, there have been many in the past, but this is the latest.

Two possible reasons for this attack:

  1. It may be an attack from communities which don’t want people to use Skype (a slur on Skype’s reputation)
  2. It can also be an attempt to hack your Skype credits and your personal/contact information.

How does the attack happen?

The virus spreads through Skype scam-chats. Users from unknown Skype ids ping regular users and request them to download an image in zip format. If one attempts to reply/respond to such unknown messages, one would get immediate reply-backs. READ THE FULL ARTICLE >>
