FileMaker Version 12 Released
FileMaker has released a new version of its database products for Mac OS X, Windows and iOS with several new features. The latest version, which is known as ‘FileMaker 12’ consists of features that enable people to create and deploy database applications for mobile users without writing code.
FileMaker is one of the leading providers of easy-to-use database software. The various product ranges that were released are FileMaker Pro 12 and FileMaker Pro 12 Advanced, FileMaker Server 12 and FileMaker Server 12 Advanced, FileMaker Go 12 for iPhone and FileMaker Go 12 for iPad.
FileMaker Pro 12 offers 40 predefined themes for desktop and mobile applications along with gradients, borders, guides and grids. It also sports improved layout object formatting, including object states. There is also an ‘Instant Web Sharing’ option to allow users to access the Web via a Web server integrated into the software.
FileMaker Go 12 lets users directly record audio or video into ‘container fields’ within databases. Mobile support features have been added in FileMaker Server 12 and FileMaker Server 12 Advanced. The upgrade also made the FileMaker Go app for iPad and iPhone completely free.

FileMaker Pro 12 for Windows and Mac OS is priced at $299 and FileMaker Pro 12 Advanced at $599. FileMaker Server 12 starts at $999 and the Advanced version of FileMaker Server 12 starts at $2,999.
