Challenges

The existing platform required improvements across performance, security, campaign management, and donor usability.

Key challenges included:

  • Page-loading and rendering issues affecting website performance.
  • Moderate-severity vulnerabilities identified during the organization’s global security audit.
  • The need to support dynamic campaign banners, motivation codes, and gift catalogue navigation without interrupting existing donation workflows.
  • Functional issues within multi-child donor profiles, including duplicate progress report downloads and tab focus resets while switching between child profiles.
  • The requirement for a secure test environment to validate updates before deployment.

Our Solutions

We implemented targeted technical and functional improvements across the platform.

Performance & Rendering Optimization
Introduced server-side rendering using Next.js and Node.js across selected pages to improve content delivery, rendering efficiency, and search engine accessibility.

Campaign & Donation Integration
Integrated campaign banners within the My World donor portal and connected them with relevant gift catalogue sections and existing payment journeys.

Dynamic Campaign Configuration
Implemented backend API configurations to support financial-year-specific motivation codes for campaigns including Shiksha for Children, Childhood Rescue, and Women Empowerment.

AWS Environment & Security Hardening
Provisioned an isolated AWS test environment for development, release validation, security remediation, and controlled testing.

Security Remediation
Addressed moderate-severity findings identified through VAPT and supported testing and validation of the implemented security fixes.

Donor Portal Enhancements
Resolved usability and functional issues affecting multi-child profiles, including duplicate progress report downloads and incorrect tab behavior during profile switching.
