A recent report by a mobile ad company suggests that iPhone users click more ads than Android users.
Jumptap is a popular mobile search and advertising company based in the U.S. It has released a report ‘Mobile Stat’ that explores various facts about the smartphone usage like mobile platform dominance and click through rates. According to this report, iPhone users click 50% more ads than Android users.
While the rate at which users on both platforms click on ads is still below 1%, iPhone users lead the chart with 0.78% clicks, while Symbian users click at the rate of 0.50%. The Android users click rate is 0.47% which is below than the average 0.52%. Among them Sony Ericsson users have high click rate of 0.54% followed by Motorola users with 0.32 %. It seems like HTC users rarely click the ads. They are at the last position with 0.21%.
However, Android is a popular platform on Jumptap network with 38% market share, while iOS is closely following it with 33% share.
