Another plume in the cap – DCI launches CharityHotels.com!

DCI successfully launched its long-term project www.charityhotels.com. The site was launched in the Lloyd hotel in Amsterdam , the Netherlands . Dutch Stars as Eddie Terstal, Dirk Zeelenberg, Cas Jansen, Jasmin Sendar, Esther Oosterbeek and Danny Malando had a small nap together in order to “Donate while you sleep”. www.charityhotels.com offers a selection of 25.000 hotels worldwide, all of them at very competitive rates, with discounts up to 75%. For every booking that is made CharityHotels donates to Charity. This happens while the client is sleeping in the hotel and does not pay more for the booking. Every user can indicate which Charity he wants to donate 5% of his hotel bill to, this is paid for by the hotel.

Currently the client has the choice between these charities: Red Cross, STOP AIDS NOW!, The Heart Foundation, Cancer Society, World Wildlife Fund, Amnesty International, Unicef, Memisa Cordaid or Oxfam Charlene Kuipers from Amnesty about the Charityhotels.com initiative: “Charityhotels is a combination of the pleasant and the useful. It is an easy and effective way to support charities. We encourage charity supporting entrepreneurship. Amnesty operates worldwide, and the worldwide coverage of CharityHotels matches well with our organisation.” “Finally Charityhotels is launched, and we are very curious to see how people react” says Ilona van der Nat of the Dutch Heart Foundation. “We hope Charityhotels to find loyal users who will use it in private and for business. I am convinced it will work well as the user does not need to pay more for the hotel and the charities receive 5% of the hotel bill.
