Google+ has opened its doors for businesses by launching brand pages that make the service much more valuable for advertisers.
These brand pages will look almost like Google+ Profiles except for the little square icon. When users add a brand to their circles, it increases that brand’s follower count and those users will get information about it. Experts say Google+ will be a natural fit for business owners as they can “hang out” with their customers and hold live events.
“For businesses and brands, Google+ pages help you connect with the customers and fans who love you,” said Vic Gundotra, Google’s Senior Vice President of Engineering. “Not only can they recommend you with a +1, or add you to a circle to listen long-term. They can actually spend time with your team, face-to-face-to-face. ”
Few months back Google asked brands to stop creating Google+ profiles as many businesses immediately jumped into this social network when the search giant first launched it.
