WordPress Sonny Said to be Latest and Greatest

The latest version of WordPress, Sonny, is said to be the greatest of its updates.

WordPress released Version 3.3 of its blogging platform with the name “Sonny”. The HTML5 responsive design techniques have been implemented in the interface of this latest version to help the platform work on small screen devices such as Tablets. The administrative screen can be accessed by a single click with the new flyout sub-menus. Users can also import their posts directly from Tumblr.

“WordPress has had over 65 million downloads since version 3.0 was released, and in this third major iteration we’ve added significant polish around the new user experience, navigation, uploading, and imports,” said Matthew Mullenweg, a founding developer of WordPress. The existing users can update WordPress from their dashboard and the new users can download it from here.

WordPress named this version ‘Sonny’ after the renowned American jazz saxophonist Edward Sonny Stitt.
